Love is a visual interpretation of the artist’s relationship with people. The artist associates each individual with a palette of colours, with the tones related to each person coming out stronger with the passing of time. The placement of the pastel pinkish tones and the contrasting shades of rich turquoise is the result of her feelings towards a specific individual.

To the artist, the act of painting each grid is a therapeutic and soothing experience ­­– with each brushstroke keeping the artist mindful and present, enabling her to connect with her feelings towards the person even if they are not there.

The artist is currently working on a series of grid paintings associated with her feelings towards people in colours, forms, grids and shapes.
